Former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes attacker Mike Sulaiman Mutyaba has challenged the provisional suspension imposed on him by FUFA, calling for a written and dated ruling.

Last week, FUFA provisionally suspended Mutyaba for alleged involvement in match manipulation during Kitara’s thrashing of Express FC 7-0 on December 21st in Butema.

Mutyaba through his lawyers of, Ssesaazi and Company Advocates, has disputed the manner in which the suspension was effected and cited procedural irregularities and lack of due process.

Mutyaba alongside Ashraf Miiro, Emmanuel Kalyowa, Ashraf Mbazira, and Ivan Katende were handed provisional suspensions by the federation in regards to the said fixture of Kitara Vs Express.

His legal team has written to FUFA’s Chief Executive Officer in document dated 17th March demanding a written, dated, and signed ruling underpinning the decision.

The legal team claim absence of a formal decision or ruling, lack of proof of proper service, violation of the rights to a fair hearing, failure to disclose the evidence relied upon, uncertainty regarding the legal basis of the suspension and damage of reputation.
