Kitara FC shred FUFA Big League side Bunyaruguru United 6-0 to progress to the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Royals Park in Butema on Wednesday, 18th March 2026.
Gadafi Wahab, Jimmy Kalema and Samuel Kato Nemeyimana scored in the first half of the round of 16 contest.
In the second half, Benjamin Nyakoojo, George Ssenkaaba and Living Kabon struck the other goals for the 2024 competition winners.
Kitara FC join KCCA FC, NEC FC and third division side Happy Boyz Kagaba who eliminated Onduparaka, Lugazi FC and Six O’clock respectively in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile action will resume on Wednesday as Vipers host Iganga United under the lights of St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
Then on Thursday, nine time competition winners SC Villa hosts Maroons FC under the floodlights.
Friday will conclude the round of 16 with two matches. URA FC will take on Tapoh FC while Express FC faces Red Devo FC at Hamz Stadium.
