Stanbic Uganda Cup holders Vipers SC progressed to the last eight of the 52nd edition after crashing Eastern Regional League outfit Iganga United 4-0 on Wednesday.
Defender Hillary Mukundane struck a brace while second half substitute Gusto Mulongo also bagged a brace.
Mukundane gave the hosts the lead in the 9th minute heading home a Yunus Sentamu corner kick.
The Venoms scored the other three goals inside the final ten minutes of the contest.
Super sub Mulongo doubled Vipers advantage in the 83rd minute before sealing his brace three minutes later.
Mukundane completed the scoring in stoppage time.
Vipers who are four time competition winners join Happy Boys Kagaba, KCCA, NEC and Kitara as teams that have secured their slots into the quarterfinals.
Action resumes this Thursday with SC Villa hosting Maroons at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba while the round of 16 will climax on Friday with a double-header at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo involving Express taking on Red Devo and URA playing Tapoh.
