Nine-time Stanbic Uganda Cup winners SC Villa will take on Maroons FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup last 16 encounter under the floodlights of FUFA Kadiba Stadium on Thursday.
The Jogoos will miss the services of young left-back Merrickzedek Mangeni and midfielder Geoffrey Gaganga through injury.
Mid-season signing Andrew Okumu is likely to be handed his debut against Maroons FC.
SC Villa needed a shootout win to overcome BUL FC at the round of 32 stage after a 2-all draw at FUFA Kadiba Stadium.
Maroons on the other hand needed Norman Odipio’s moment of brilliance to eliminate Kumi United 1-0 to reach the last 16.
In the league, SC Villa beat Maroons FC 2-0 in their most recent meeting at the venue for today’s fixture. Maroons had earlier edged Villa 1-0 in the first round meeting in December.
SC Villa who last won the competition in 2015 beating KCCA FC in the final that was held at Namboole will be seeking to join Vipers SC, KCCA FC, Happy Boyz Kagaba, NEC FC and Kitara FC into the last eight.
Meanwhile, the round of 16 will climax on Friday with a double-header at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo involving Express taking on Red Devo and URA playing Tapoh.
