Seven Uganda Premier League sides have reached the quarterfinal stage of the Stanbic Uganda Cup following the climax of the round of 16 last Friday.
Record joint holders KCCA and Express are amongst the seven top tier sides after overcoming Onduparaka (5-0) and Red Devo (4-0) respectively.
They are joined by nine time champions SC Villa and NEC FC who prevailed past fellow topflight sides Maroons (1-0) and Lugazi (2-0) to storm the last eight.
Current holders Vipers SC cruised 4-0 past Iganga United while 2024 winners Kitara recorded the biggest win of the round-of-16 following a 6-0 rout of Kasese-based Big League side Bunyaruguru United at the Butema Royal Park last week.
Fourth division side Happy Boyz Kagaba also reached the last eight after shooting out Six O’clock 5-4 on penalties after a goalless stalemate to reach the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, URA FC progressed to the last eight following 1-0 win over Tapoh.
