Uganda Premier League record holders SC Villa have confirmed the appointment of Nebojsa Kapoor who will serve as the head coach of Young Jogoos and, Wembly FC, which competes in the Kampala Regional League.
According to the statement from SC Villa Kapoor’s role will be central in identifying, developing, and preparing emerging talents for the senior team.
Villa has also confirmed the appointment of their former goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan as the goalkeeping coach of the youth teams as earlier reported by this website.
Besides SC Villa and NEC, Ochan featured for Bloemfontein Celtic, defunct Victoria university, Kabwe in Zambia warriors, AFC Leopards in Kenya and KCCA FC where he spent three different spells.
At KCCA, he won two Uganda Premier League titles in 2015-16 and 2016-2017 seasons and also guided the now defunct Sports Club Victoria University to the CECAFA Nile Basin Cup in 2014.
Ochan also won the Uganda Cup in 2016-2017 season with KCCA.
For the Uganda Cranes, Ochan has 23 caps and featured at two CHAN championships 2014 (South Africa) and 2018 (Morocco).
Sulaiman Matovu alias Malouda will serve as the trainer for both the Youth and senior teams at SC Villa. Matovu retired from active football earlier this year having featured for Proline FC, St George SC, Erbil SC,BK Häcken and Kaizer Chiefs.
