The organizers of the Fortebet Reals Stars sports Monthly awards have crowned the winners for the month of March at the ceremony held at the Nanjing Restaurant and Motel in Kololo, Kampala on Tuesday, 7th April.

Jacob Kiplimo (Athletics), Hassan Alwi (Motorrally), Maureen Kiiza (football) and David Kavuma “De Animal” Ssemujju (boxing) were named as the winners in their respective sports disciplines.
Uganda’s long-distance runner Kiplimo who recently set a new world half marathon record in Lisbon, Portugal won the athletics gong beating Abel Chelangat and Sarah Chelangat to the March accolade.
Uganda’s Japanese based Professional boxer Ssemujju clinched the boxing accolade for his victory over Japan’s Urashima Masayuki at the Tokyo’s iconic Korakuen hall.
Ssemujju successfully retained his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific Welteweight title and the Japanese welterweight title.
He overcame Saiya Nsubuga and Farahat Manirola who also excelled in the month of March.
Female footballer Maureen Kiiza beat Jovia Nakagolo and Marion Serenge to the football event.
Motor-rally team of Hassan Alwi and his co-driver Musa Nsubuga won the motorsport category following their victory at the NRC Mbale rally.


He beat veteran rally driver Moses Lumala and Oscar Ntambi to the March gong. The awards are sponsored by Fortebet and Jude a color solutions.
