UPDF FC ended a 12-match winless run with a 3-1 win over Mbarara City on Thursday at Bombo Military Grounds.
Victory saw the army side move out of the relegation zone for the first time in this term.

The army side had last registered a League win on 5th December at home to Lugazi. Since then, they had suffered seven defeats and five draws.
Emmanuel Ocen gave the home side the lead at the half hour mark before Muhammad Kanyike levelled matters for the visitors five minutes later.
In the second half, UPDF needed Andrew Samson Kigozi’s brace to cruise to a deserved victory in Bombo.
The army side move out of the red zone and are now 13th placed with 17 points that they have garnered in 22 games while the Ankole Lions are a place and point below UPDF.
