KCCA FC returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kitara FC on Friday night in the Uganda Premier League
Joel Sserunjogi’s first half strike was enough to secure all three points for the Kasasiro Boys.
The win saw them close the gap on leaders Vipers to four points and they are now second 48 points.
At the stroke of halftime, Sserunjogi who was set up by Saidi Mayanja unleashed a low shot that beat Kitara’s goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige as the home side went in the halftime breather leading 1-0.
Mayanja had the best chance in the second half when he forced Kibirige into a decent save in the 78th minute after being fed by Shafik Kwikiriza.
KCCA FC smiled to maximum points as well as ending Kitara’s 13th match-unbeaten run.
The Royals had last suffered defeat on December, 18th 2025 when they lost to Entebbe UPPC. Defeat sees them drop to third on the table.
