Two time Masaza Cup champions Ssingo Ssaza team have appointed Emmy Kisakye as their new head coach, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kisakye replaces Bastu Semuyaba who was at the helms as Ssingo reached the 2025 Masaza Cup final before losing to eventual winners Buweekula.
Kisakye has previously served at Ssingo and will work with George Ssebuliba as the goalkeeping coach.
Besides Ssingo, Kisakye has also worked at Edgars Youth Programme, Bugisu United, Mbale Garage FC, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga, Kajjansi United, KJT, Ssingo Ssaza, Theresa FC and FUFA Big League entity Kiyinda Boys among others.
Ssingo are seeking for their first title since the 2018 when they overcame Buddu during Shafiq Bisaso’s reign.
Buweekula are the reigning competition champions having defeated Ssingo in last year’s epic final at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.
This year’s Buganda Kingdom organized Masaza comps is scheduled to kickoff in mid-June.
