Elvis Ngonde has stunned SC Villa with a formal decision not to extend his employment contract beyond this season.

This website has established that Ngonde met with the club’s hierarchy, and informed them of his decision not to extend his stay at the record Uganda Premier League champions.

He joined the record Uganda Premier League champions at the start of the 2023/24 season from Gaddafi FC on a three year deal.

In that same season, the versatile midfielder helped the Jogoos end their 20-year wait without a league title.

Ngonde was also part of the Uganda Cranes 2024 CHAN team that reached the quarterfinal stage of the tournament co-hosted in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

This season he has found playing time limited at the 17-time league champions due to stiff competition from Diego Misi Ssemugere and Aslam Ssemakula who have been brilliant for the club this term.

Ngonde is not the only player on the move at Villa, the duo of forwards Reagan Mpande and Charles Lwanga are also having an eye on the exit.
