Buddo Secondary School are the first team to arrive in Lira City ahead of the anticipated National U20 Boys Championship.

Buddo SS who are the defending champions, will be seeking their fourth ever title having previously won the Championship in 2009 in Fort Portal and 2018 in Mbarara.

Last year, Buddo edged rivals St. Marys Kitende 6-5 in a tense penalty shoot out following a goalless draw in the final played in Ngora district.

Heading into the championship, Buddo will be under the tutelage of coach Eddie Ssemakula who replaced last year’s winning coach Richard Malinga.

Ssemakula will be deputized by Ibrahim Jjingo and goalkeeping coach Mutumba Adad while Patrick Kizza will be the team doctor.

The Buddo SS contingent is led by Agaba Ronald Amos who is also the school’s Games teacher alongside Kyakulumbye Gozanga.

Buddo SS are pitted in Group A of this year’s competition alongside Masindi Secondary School, Teso College Aloet and Kaserem Secondary School from Kapchorwa.
