Kitende who have won title 11-times same as Kibuli SS were flagged off on Saturday by Assistant Executive Director Claire Mulindwa.
They will be aiming for a record extending title having won it in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2019, 2022 and 2023.
Kitende’s previous triumph came in 2023 when they edged St.Henry’s College Kitovu 1-0 in Fort Portal, with Habib Oloya scoring the only goal.
Last year in Ngora, they lost to their nemisis Buddo SS in the final but will be aiming to make amends under the stewardship of Hassan Zzungu this term.
In Lira, Kitende are in Group P along with Bukedea Comprehensive North, Seroma Christian High and Lubiri Secondary School
