Uganda U17 Boys National Team, the Cubs will be facing Ivory Coast, DR Congo and Cameroon in Group B at the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Uganda will open its Group B campaign against DR Congo on Wednesday, 13th May at Stade Moulay Hassan Stadium in Morocco.
On Saturday, 16th May, the Cubs battle Cameroon before ending their group stage phase against Ivory Coast on Tuesday, 19th May.
Uganda is under the guidance of coach Laryea Kingston who will be seeking to lead the team to the World Cup for the second consecutive time following the 2025 heroics under Brian Ssenyondo.
The 2026 AFCON tournament in Morocco will run from 13th May to 2nd June.
All the teams that will reach the quarterfinals will progress to World Cup automatically, while two other teams will go through the playoff to make total of ten teams that will represent the continent.
Last year, Uganda edged The Gambia in the playoff to qualify for the first-ever FIFA World Cup tournament.
