Vipers SC title celebrations were put on hold again as KCCA FC fought back to win 2-1 at UPDF FC, on Tuesday.

Vipers have a better head to head record over KCCA and defeat for KCCA could have secured a eighth league title for the Kitende outfit.
Trailing to Emmanuel Ochen’s first half goal, the Kasasiro boys equalised through Emmanuel Anyama before Etienne Katenga netted the winner to leave Vipers in frustration.
KCCA needed to capitalise on Vipers inconsistent run in the Uganda Premier League final bend to stay in contention for the title.
Following the remarkable comeback victory, KCCA are now three points behind Vipers with two games remaining.
The Venoms will have to wait until next week against Maroons due to the latest display of KCCA’s fortitude.
Vipers lead the table with 61 points with KCCA FC second on 58 points. Brian Ssenyondo’s men will have to win their remaining two games and pray the Venoms fail maximize points in their final two games.
UPDF could have secured topflight status for next season with victory over the Kasasiro boys but defeat means the fight is still on. They are currently on 21 points, four above the red zone.
