SC Villa will be seeking their first Stanbic Uganda Cup final when they face off once again with URA FC in the return leg of their semifinal at the Fufa stadium, Kadiba on Saturday.

The Jogoos won the first leg 2-0 at Nakivubo, thanks to goals from Najib Yiga and an own goal by Moses Aliro and a draw sends them into the final of the competition since 2015.

URA needs a miraculously 3-0 victory to overturn the first leg deficit and make it to the final for the first since the 2014 edition.

The Jogoos’ only hope of silverware this season is in this competition having had their title chances end in the League.

With nine Uganda Cup trophies, Villa hope to go all the way and equal their rivals KCCA FC and Express who have won it a record ten times.

The tax collectors who are still uncertain of retaining coach Hussein Mbalangu hope to make amends at Kadiba. They are three time competition winners.

“We have had good preparations and everyone understands the task at hand. Two-nil down, against a very good side already makes it difficult but we believe we can go there and turn it around,” he stated Bastu Ssemuyaba the URA assistant coach

Villa is unbeaten at Kadiba this term having won nine and four draws in the 13 league games they have hosted. They also have a decent record over the tax collecters winning four and two draws in their last six meetings. The aggregate winners will face Kitara FC who eliminated holders Vipers on away goals rule last night.
