Vipers SC are the champions of the Uganda Premier League after their 3-0 win over Maroons FC at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The Venoms needed to maximize points against Maroons to win their eighth Uganda Premier League title.
First half goals from Yunus Sentamu and Usama Arafat along with Abdul Karim Watambala’s second half goal sealed the title for the Kitende based side.
Victory sees the Venoms go on 64 points and will await for coronation on the final day during their home game against Express FC.
Meanwhile, second placed KCCA FC were held to a goalless draw by Hussein Mbalangu’s URA FC at Nakivubo Stadium.
Vipers triumph means that KCCA FC’s search for the league title continues. They last won it during the 2018/19 season under coach Mike Mutebi.
The title becomes Vipers’ eighth triumph having previously won in 2009/10, 2014/15, 2017/18, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2024/25.
