Uganda Cranes to play Tanzania and Madagascar in Friendly Matches

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has lined up two friendly matches for the senior men’s team Uganda Cranes next month.

Uganda Cranes will face Tanzania and Madagascar matches during the June 2026 FIFA international window in Marrakech, Morocco.

According to Ahmed Hussein, FUFA Corporate Affairs Director,

“Uganda will play Tanzania on 5th June 2026 before taking on Madagascar on 8th June 2026 as preparations continue for upcoming international assignments that will lead to the AFCON 2027 to be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.” Said Hussein

Both fixtures will be played in Marrakech, Morocco, with further details regarding kick-off times with the venues yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes was drawn in Group H of the qualifying campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Uganda who will co-host the tournament next year will face North Africans sides Tunisia and Libya and Botswana.

Being co-hosts for the continental showpiece have already secured automatic slot for the event in East Africa.
