The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced the change of venue for the Stanbic Uganda Cup final between SC Villa and Kitara FC.

Last week, the federation had confirmed FUFA Kadiba Stadium as the venue to host the 52nd edition of the competition.

Following the announcement, Kitara FC raised concerns through a letter from their CEO Joshua Atugonza regarding the choice of venue. They revealed it was unfair to have the final played at the Stadium where SC Villa host their home game.

With just a few days to the epic game, FUFA has confirmed FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru as the new venue but the date remains Saturday, 30th May.

Kickoff time has also changed from 4Pm to 3Pm with tickets at a cost of Shs10000 for ordinary while VIP are for Shs50000.

SC Villa are nine time competition winners with their most recent triumph coming in 2015 when they beat KCCA FC in the final.

Kitara in the other hand won it in 2024 under Brian Ssenyondo when they overcame NEC FC in the final played at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku. Solomon Okwalinga scored the all important goal at that time.

Njeru hosted the Stanbic Uganda Cup final in 2021 when Vipers thrashed BUL FC 8-1 to clinch their second trophy at that time.
