Moses Magogo has refuted speculation over his future as the president of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
During his address at the official dinner held at Sheraton Hotel in honour of the Uganda Cubs for their historic qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026. Magogo stated that no body has called him for any meeting calling for his resignation.
“No body has called me into any meeting to resign. So stay calm, we still have football to develop, we have work to do and we are going to make sure this team for the World Cup in the best of our abilities.” Said Magogo
Following the ongoing saga in regards to the former Speaker Annet Anita Among also the wife to Magogo, there has also been rumors regarding future of Magogo as FUFA boss.
Magogo also hailed the U17 team for joining the elite class of Africa’s strongest youth football nations who have made it to back to back World Cups tournaments.
“Uganda is among the six countries that have qualified to the Under-17 World Cup back-to-back. It is only Egypt, Mali, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal and Uganda that have made it back-to-back. So we can believe.” he Stated
Uganda will seek to make more history during their second successive World Cup campaign due in Qatar in November this year. The Cubs reached the round of 16 stage in their maiden tournament last term.
