The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced the key dates including the kickoff date for the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
According to FUFA, the season will officially kickoff on 28th August with the Super 8 Tournament slated to start on 1st August to 16th of the same month.
In the document from FUFA, the FUFA Super Cup will be played on 23rd August. This is the game contested between the winners of the Uganda Premier League and Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Meanwhile, FUFA has also confirmed that UPL Club CEO’s Pre-season club licensing workshop is slated for June 10th this month with the club licensing Online Platform opening on the same day.
The club licensing point score system will open on June 15th while the primary registration window is slated to open on July 1st ending on 19th September.
FUFA will also start physical inspection of visits to clubs on 1st July to 15th of the same month with the deadline of submission of CL documents on CLOP due on 15th July.
FIB meetings for Licensing decisions for UPL clubs is scheduled for July 16th to 17 while the club licensing decisions by Appellant body is for July 24th with the final list of licensed clubs set to be communicated to UPL on 27th July.
The 2026/27 Uganda Premier League fixtures are scheduled to be released on July 28th 2026.

Vipers SC won the Uganda Premier League last term after finishing top of the log with 67 points while KCCA were second with 62 points with Villa third on 61 points.
