Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have shelved contract talks with Derrick Ndahiro, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Ndahiro’s current contract at Vipers expires this month and talks are ongoing over contract extension.
Club chiefs remain relaxed about the situation and will open negotiations with the left back before the end of this month about a new and improved deal.
It’s understood that club bosses have now prioritised making new signings instead and have put the future of Ndahiro on the back burner.
Ndahiro joined the Venoms in 2024 from Rwanda Premier League side Police FC.
He had joined the Rwanda Premier League side at the start of the 2023/24 season as a free agent after his departure at URA FC.
The left back started his career at Kamwokya before joining SC Villa in 2018 from Kamwokya’s Riverside Forest Park FC.
In 2021, he joined URA FC after impressing at the record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa.
