URA set to part ways with captain Moses Aliro

Uganda Premier League side URA FC are expected to part ways with Versatile Moses Aliro Okabo this transfer window.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that the club hierarchy has decided to release Aliro with a year remaining on his current employment contract.

Aliro who can operate as right wing back as well as forward extended his stay at URA FC last year till July 2027.

The winger-cum fullback joined the tax collectors from Wakiso Giants in July 2023 and also had trial stint with Tanzania’s Yanga FC.

Aliro finished the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season as the league’s top assist provider with 8 and scored 4 goals.

Last season, Aliro was named as URA FC team captain by former coach Alex Isabirye Musongola. He has previously featured for KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants .

Meanwhile, the tax collectors have rewarded youngsters Denis Kisiriko Luzige, Innocent John Kisolo and Godfrey Ssekibengo with new employment contracts.

Goalkeepers Derrick Ochan, Justine Opiro, Amisi Bwangani, Matovu Faisal and Shafik Lugolobi are all out of contract at the revenue collectors.
