The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced that tge Club Licensing Online Platform for all Uganda Premier League clubs is now open.
FUFA confirmed that the process will run until 15th July which will be the deadline for submission of the required documents for the 2026/27 season.
According to FUFA all successful clubs will be issued with a license to compete in next season’s topflight division that will comprise of 18 teams.
“All clubs that successfully complete the process will be issued licenses to participate in FUFA competitions for the 2026/27 season. To qualify, clubs must submit the required documentation and meet the prescribed standards across the following criteria: Sporting, Infrastructure, Personnel and Administrative, Legal, Financial, and Marketing and Communication.” Stated a statement from FUFA
On Wednesday, 10th June 2026, all the 18 Uganda Premier League clubs had a club licensing workshop at FUFA Stadium in Kadiba.
The engagement that was chaired by Jeremiah Mugerwa, the Chairman FUFA club Licensing Committee saw clubs discuss Licensing requirements, timelines and compliance measures for the new football season.
All the 18 clubs for next season were represented by their CEOs at the workshop which Mugerwa described as productive.
The Licensing Committee will conduct physical inspections and assessment of the club facilities during the process.
Next season 18 clubs will play in the Uganda Premier these are Vipers SC, KCCA FC, SC Villa, Kitara FC, NEC FC, BUL FC, Police FC, URA FC, UPDF FC, Lugazi FC, Maroons FC, Express FC, Entebbe UPPC, Mbarara City, Blacks Power, Kataka FC, Kigezi Homeboyz, Ntugasaze FC.
