Allan Okello has been named the NBC Tanzania Premier League Player of the Month for May.
Okello’s impressive exploits with Young Africans elevated him to the gong beating Simba’s Clatous Chama and Azam’s Feisal ‘Feitoto’ Salum.
The Uganda Cranes offensive midfielder scored nine goals and provided one assist and clinched four Man of the Match accolades in the six league games he played.
Okello also scooped the Young Africans Player of the Month award early this week.
He subsequently became the first player to win the league’s monthly award twice this season.
Okello will be expected to replicate his brilliant performance as Young Africans head into the final bend of the title challenge.
Yanga currently lead the Tanzania Premier League table with 60 points, two ahead of second placed rivals Simba with five games to play.
