Uganda Premier League sides NEC FC and Kitara FC are strongly considering a move for former BUL FC midfielder Jeromy Kirya this transfer window, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kirya was among the ten players released by BUL FC last week and this website has established that both NEC and Kitara are keen on signing him.
Kitara want to beef up their squad ahead of their busy schedule that will involve participation in CAF Confederation Cup next season.
NEC also want to boost their squad with another midfielder following the departure of experienced midfielders Muzamir Mutyaba and Paul Mucureezi.
For the past two years, eight time UPL champions Vipers have been scrambling for Kirya’s signature but the interest has cooled down and is unlikely to cross to Kitende.
Kirya joined BUL FC from Busoga United in 2021 and has been one of the outstanding performers for the Jinja based side.
