Tanzania Premier League side Azam FC have agreed terms with SC Villa winger Hassan Mubiru, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
This website has established that Mubiru has already agreed personal terms with Azam FC who are ready to buy off his remaining contract at Villa.
Mubiru scored four goals and six assists in the league last season is expected to sign a two year deal at Azam FC this transfer window.
The Express FC academy graduate can be deployed as a no.9, 10 and also operate on both wings.
Regional giants such as Azam’s compatriots Singida Black Stars, home to Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho and Simba as well as Rwanda’s record champions APR were all interested in Mubiru’s signature.
Mubiru has previously featured for Express FC and KCCA FC before joining record UPL champions SC Villa.
Azam is currently third on the Tanzania Premier League table with 55 points, eight behind Allan Okello’s Young Africans who are top of the log with four games to go.
