KCCA FC have agreed a deal to sign out of contract SC Villa midfielder Elvis Ngonde, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Ngonde is set to sign a three-year deal at the club with an option to extend his stay at the 13-time league champions.
KCCA look set to sign a player they have held a long-term interest in but want to sign another midfielder during this transfer window, due to Joel Sserunjogi’s departure to Vipers SC.
SC Villa had initially entered talks with Ngonde later on over a contract extension but the player had already made up his mind to join the Lugogo based side where he is to fill Sserunjogi’s void.
Ngonde joined the record Uganda Premier League champions at the start of the 2023/24 season from Gaddafi FC on a three year deal.
In that same season, the versatile midfielder helped the Jogoos end their 20-year wait without a league title.
Last term, he struggled for playing time ever since Zeljko Kovacevic took over at the record league champions.

At KCCA, he will bring the dynamism and flexibility that Brian Ssenyondo’s side needs.
Ngonde was also part of the Uganda Cranes 2024 CHAN team that reached the quarterfinal stage of the tournament co-hosted in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
