Yusuf Sharif Saaka has confirmed his departure from Lugazi FC after two seasons with the club.
Saaka joined Lugazi in 2024 during their debut topflight season and played a part in their successful relegation survival since then.

With a heavy heart yet with clear conviction, I write to formally conclude my tenure at Lugazi FC, Saaka said in a statement posted on his social media accounts.
” It has been a profound privilege to represent this club. My time here has been defined by discipline, accountability and a shared commitment to excellence both on and off the pitch,” He added
Saaka, who is widely recognized as a striker has spent a better part of his stay at Lugazi, as a wing back and scored three goals and one assist in the 33 league games played.

He is a former Arua Hill and Kyetume FC player who also had brief stints in Seychelles and Rwanda with Lions Sports Club and Espoir FC respectively.
He becomes the second player to confirm his departure from Lugazi FC after winger Freedom Mungudit.
