Okello, Ukasha among June Fortebet Real Stars

The organisers of the Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards have awarded the outstanding performers for the month of June at the event held a Nanjing Restaurant in Kololo.
The best for the month of June came from four different sporting disciplines.
The awarding ceremony was attended by Fortebet Brand Ambassador Alex Muhangi, Jude Colour Solutions representative Erone Nandawula, and Real Stars Sports Agency CEO Isaac Mukasa.
The winners came from football, rugby, boxing and motorsport. The June winners were Allan Okello (football), Yassin Wasswa (rugby), Ukasha Matovu (boxing) and Hassan Alwi (rally).
Okello won the football gong after helping Young Africans SC to their fifth consecutive league title. The Uganda Cranes attacker attacking midfielder played a key role as the Tanzanian giants won the title.
Okello finished with 14 goals and eight assists in six matches as Young Africans smiled to the title.
In the boxing category, Ukasha Matovu clinched the accolade following his victory over Isaac Kasasa of Katabi Boxing Club.
His triumph came after the referee stopped the contest (RSC) in the second round of their light middleweight bout of the Uganda Boxing Champions League. He beat fellow nominees Emily Nakalema and Kato Kazibwe to the monthly award.
Toyota Buffaloes fly-half Yasin Wasswa claimed the rugby award following his sensatioanal performances in the Premiership final against Pirates. Wasswa contributed 19 points through conversions and penalty kicks as Buffaloes edged Pirates 30-29, a performance that also earned him the Most Valuable Player award.
Hassan Alwi won the motorsport gong after winning the KCB-SMC Masaka Rally in Sembabule. The International University of East Africa and DFCU-backed driver won the rally in posted a time of 1:10:22.97 to finish above Jonas Kansime and Duncan Mubiru.
Late Rugby star Sydney Gongodyo was also recognised with the lifetime achievers award at the same ceremony.
