Shaban Mutually leaves Kitara after five months

Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC have mutually part ways with Muhamad Shaban five months in his contract.

Shaban joined Kitara in February this year on a two year employment contract but his representatives from Santos Management confirmed his departure via X on Wednesday, 15th July.


“We have reached a mutual agreement with Kitara to part ways,” read part of the statement signed by Santos Sports Management.

Shaban has previously featured for Onduparaka FC for two stints, KCCA FC and Vipers SC.

He also played for Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, Libyan top flight entity Al Hilal Sports Club and Morocco side Raja Casablanca.

Kitara have already beefed up the squad with the acquisation of Ghanaian defender Bonny Christopher, veteran winger Martin Kiiza and left back Jackson Ssembatya.
