Saidi Keni completes return to UPL
Uganda Premier League side Mbarara City have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Saidi Keni, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
The former SC Villa goalkeeper returns to the Uganda Premier League after stints in DR Congo and Ethiopia.
In DR Congo he featured for giants AS Vita whom he joined in January 2025.
The custodian also played for Ethiopian side Shashemene City a side he joined in September 2023.
At the Ankole Lions, Keni will add experience to the goalkeeping department having previously featured in the UPL at SC Villa and BUL FC as well.
Mbarara City recently boosted their coaching staff with former Lugazi FC coach Francis Mugerwa who will work with Zaid Byekwaso.
Last season, Mbarara City finished in 12th position with 26 points they garnered in 30 games they played and will be looking for an improved campaign.
