Musician Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has lauded Express FC head coach Morley Byekwaso for trusting his son Alpha Ssali and giving him the platform to grow at seven time Uganda Premier League champions.
Alpha, who joined the Red Eagles at the start of this season, impressed as the side played out to a 1-1 stalemate with Kitara FC at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday.
The forward put in an impressive shift and was voted Express Fans’ Man of the Match after helping the seven-time league champions secure a point at home.
Taking to his social media, Bebe Cool expressed his gratitude to the club and the coaching staff.
“A heartfelt thank you to Express FC, and especially Coach Morley Byekwaso, for trusting Alpha Ssali and giving him the opportunity to grow. Just his fourth game for the club, and already he is making his mark helping secure a crucial draw and being named Express Fans’ Man of the Match against Kitara FC. Alpha, I’m so proud of you. Stay humble, keep working hard and keep believing. This is only the beginning,” Bebe Cool wrote.
Alpha Ssali, who has previously featured for Proline FC and Express’ rivals KCCA FC as well as NEC FC. Alpha is one of the most promising young attackers in the country. His work rate and creativity against Kitara earned him plaudits from the Express faithful.
Express FC are currently on four points from four games in the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season and will return to action after the international break.
