Ahimbisibwe makes return to KCCA FC

Ivan Ahimbisibwe has rejoined Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
He returns to the 13-time league champions after failing to impress at Iraqi professional sports club based in Zakho. It is reported that Ahimbisibwe who joined the Iraqi based side couldn’t meet the demands of employers who opted to boot him out.
He had only joined them in July this year following expiration of his employment contract with KCCA FC who are also struggling to find their footing in the new season having only managed a single win in four league outings.
The “Hunter” finished as top scorer in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League with 14 goals.
A season prior, he netted 16 goals while featuring for URA FC, finishing just three goals behind the 2024/25 golden boot winner, Allan Okello.
Ahimbisibwe began his career at Synergy before moving to Nyamityobora and later transferred to UPDF and then URA. Tanzania Premier League side Azam FC were also interested in Ahimbisibwe’s signature earlier in the window.
