Lavagne demands more despite Vipers’ win over Ntugasaze

Vipers SC head coach Denis Lavagne says his side still has a lot to improve despite cruising to a 3-0 win over league debutants Ntugasaze FC at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Saturday.
Goals from Gusto Mulongo, Chukwuma Odili and Ceaser Manzoki sealed the Venoms’ first win of the season under the lights of Kitende, after losing their league opener to Entebbe UPPC.
Speaking after the game, Lavagne admitted the result was important for confidence but insisted he expects more from his team.
“Good win and gives confidence to the players. Though we understand that we have to improve in many areas still,” Lavagne said.
“I expect more from this team but the result is more important. Despite the win, we have to improve a lot of things because I expect more from the players, so we have to continue to work. In attack we have good players but not enough since we have to work on our finishing.”
The victory moves Vipers off the bottom of the table as they look to build momentum in the league following their early CAF Champions League exit.
