10-man Proline eject Mbale Heroes to book a place in the quarters

Proline FC became the 7th team to join the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter final menu after eliminating Mbale Heroes 3-1 on aggregate.

Proline came into the second leg with a 2-1 lead attained at Lugogo on Sunday thanks to goals from Noordin Bunjo and Savio Kabugo.

They completed the mission with a 1-0 win in the game played at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Defender Ibrahim Ssendi scored the lone goal of the game in the 21st minute.

Proline were however reduced to 10-men when Norman Kugonza was sent off for a second bookable offence moments into the second half.

Mbale Heroes were also reduced to 10 men in the 72nd minute as Joshua Opima was shown red for unsporting behavior.

Proline joined the list of quarter finalists that has Vipers SC, KCCA, Express, SC Villa, Wakiso Giants and Police FC.

The 8th quarter finalist will be between BUL FC and Kigezi Homeboyz who are yet to play their second leg. BUL lead 2-1 on aggregate
