2022 FUFA DRUM: West Nile complete double over Karamoja to power into quarters

West Nile progressed to the quarterfinals of the 2022 FUFA Drum after eliminating Karamoja 6-0 in a two legged round of 16 tie.

West Nile shred Karamoja in the first leg 5-0 at the Greenlight Stadium before completing a double on Sunday with a 1-0 victory at Naitakwae Sports Complex in Moroto.

Ibrahim Dada scored the only goal for the visitors who powered into the last eight.

The goal came in the 70th minute thus guiding West Nile to victory.

West Nile joins Buganda, Acholi and Kampala as the four teams that have progressed to the quarterfinals.

Just like round of 16, the quarterfinals will also be played on a home and away basis.

Meanwhile, action will resume on Saturday, 20th August as Ankole host Lango at Ibanda TC Kagongo Ground while Sebei will entertain Bugishu at Sebei College in Kapchorwa.

On Sunday, Teso will welcome Busoga at Emokori Ground in Bukedea whereas Rwenzori will lock horns with Tooro at Christ School playground in Bundibugyo on the same day.
