The Uganda Olympic Committee has forcefully reinstated Shadir Musa Bwogi and David Ssemujju on the national Boxing team(Bombers) team.
Bwogi and Ssemujju fell out with the Uganda Boxing Federation and turned Pro after representing Uganda at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.
According to the list released by UOC to duo will represent the nation at forthcoming 2024 Olympic Qualifiers due this month in Dakar, Senegal.
Ssemujju, Bwogi and Catherine Nanziri fell out with UBF over what they revealed as unfair contracts to take in the Boxing Champions league before turning to Professional Boxing.

Ssemujju is a reserve boxer to current Bombers captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa in the 63Kg category while Bwogi is a reserve to Mukiibi Idrissa in the 80Kg category.
Meanwhile, Nanziri is not part of the released list by UOC.
Emily Nakalema is also to part of the list. She had prevailed over Erina Namutebi during the elimination bouts that were organized by UBF to determine at Club Obligato who will represent Uganda at the Dakar Olympic games Qualifiers.

Nakalema is bronze medalist at the just concluded Africa Elite Boxing Championship that were held in Cameroon.
Khassim Murungi who had beaten Kyobe Jonah by split decision (4:1) in the featherweight category 57Kg to a slot to Dakar is not part of the list.
Kyobe who suffered defeated is on the team to Dakar as by UOC.
Both the men’s and women’s qualifying Olympic games tournament will be held in Dakar, Senegal from September 9 to 15, 2023.
