KCCA FC missed another chance to move to the summit of the Uganda Premier league after a 1-1 stalemate with Police FC at Lugogo on Tuesday.

A win for KCCA would have seen them move a point above Vipers SC who play Busoga United on Wednesday at Kitende.

Ashraf Mugume gave the visitors an early lead from a well curled free kick in the 4th minute after a foul on Davis Kasirye.

KCCA skipper Benjamin Ochan made a poor clearance moments later before Usama Arafat brought down Juma Balinya in the forbidden area.

Ashraf Mugume, Sadat Anaku, Davis Kasirye and second half substitute Rogers Mato rued several KCCA FC chances.

KCCA stay second with 42 points and are just a point behind leaders Vipers.

Police move to 23 points from 21 games, this was their eighth draw this season. They next play Mbale Heroes in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16.
