Airtel Masaza Cup: Buddu with slim advantage as Ssingo and Busiro share spoils in six goal thriller

Buddu beat Bulemeezi 1-0 in the first leg of the Masaza Cup Semi-Final at the Masaka Recreation grounds.

Starman Bruno Bunyaga scored the all important goal in the second half as the defending champions registered a slim advantage over the two time competition winners Bulemeezi.

Buddu under the stewardship of Ibrahim Kirya are seeking a third consecutive final. They are also aiming to become the first team to defend the title.

Meanwhile Mityana, Ssingo and Busiro shared spoils in a six goal thriller at Ssaza Grounds.

Joseph Ssewali scored a brace for Ssingo with Amuli Mukasa netting the other goal for Ssingo.

Busiro goals were scored by their inspiration man Akram Musangi who netted a brace. Alex Mandela netted the other goal for the 2019 runners up.

Busiro are seeking for their maiden Masaza Cup crown while seeking are targeting a third title.

Busiro will entertain Ssingo in the second leg at Sentema playground on 16th October.

Bulemeezi will host Buddu in the return leg at Kasana playgrounds next Sunday.
