Airtel Masaza Cup: Quarterfinal second leg games postponed due to Ebola outbreak

Masaza Cup committe has postponed the Quarterfinal second leg games due to the outbreak of Ebola in the country.

The second leg games were scheduled for Sunday, 25th September at various playgrounds.

The development was confirmed by the Masaza Cup organising committee Chairman Hajji Sulaiman Ssejjengo on Friday morning.

“We have decided to postpone the second leg games that were scheduled for this weekend due to the outbreak of Ebola in the country.”

“We have done this to stop the spread of the virus in the country. We would like to apologize to all those affected by the postponement.”

Earlier this week, the Ministry of Health confirmed the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Mubende District, Uganda.

The first case that was confirmed was of a 24 year old male a resident Ngabano village of Madudu Sub County in Mubende District presented with EVD symptoms and later succumbed.
