Another league match involving Express FC suspended

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has instructed the Uganda premier league secretariate to postpone Wakiso Giants’ meeting with Express FC that was due to be played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso on Saturday 11th November ’23.

This will be the second league game involving Express after the Villa match was also postponed.

It should be remembered that the referee’s under their body resolved not to judge any match that Express FC is involved after referee Fahad Sekayiba was badly beaten by allegedly Express FC fans following their stalemate with UPDF FC at Bombo on October 27th.

Sekayiba is currently at Mulago Hospital receiving medication.

A statement from the UPL secretariate read that,

“The UPL Secretariat has been guided by FUFA to postpone M#56 Wakiso Giants FC vs Express FC that was scheduled to be played on Saturday 11th November 2023.

This is to allow judicial bodies conclude matters relating to M#38 UPDF FC vs Express FC match.”
