Arua Hill dents Soltilo Bright Stars’ survival hopes with slender victory

Soltilo Bright Stars’ battle to beat the drop has been dealt a huge blow after falling to Soltilo Bright Stars in Arua.

Former UPDF utility man Bright Vuni was the chief tormentor for the Kavumba based club after he met a well delivered corner kick delivery from Gaddafi Wahab to put the Kongolo into a half time lead.

His goal came in the 44th minute , just seconds to the half time break.

Vuni did not only score the goal, but he also put up an impressive overall performance that won him the man of the match gong.

Fresh from an inspiring 3-0 victory over BUL at home, Bright stars came into this game with high spirits of jumping away from the drop zone.

They are instead stuck in 13th place with 19 points, only 2 above red flagged Mbarara city who played a game less.

They will now seek redemption from their next match against UPDF at Kavumba on 26th March, whereas Arua Hill will visit Tooro United on 25th March

With this victory, Arua Hill have cemented their place as the best newcomers having amassed 36 points already and currently sit in 4th place. They are only 9 points behind leaders Vipers SC
