Asaph Mwebaze’s Soltilo Bright Stars aim for maiden victory against Blacks Power

Westnile based side Blacks Power have already showed signs of a relegation candidate after losing their opening two league matches and also conceding the highest number of goals so far.

Seven times is how much they have picked the ball from their net having succumbed to a 5-0 mauling by BUL FC at home, and also handing fellow strugglers Busoga United their maiden win of the season.

The poor form also sparked rumours of Peter Onen’s sacking, but this website understands that the underfire tactician will be in the dugout tomorrow.

Asaph Mwebaze is also a new man in charge of Soltilo Bright Stars, and he is yet to make his impact felt after only managing two points from two matches.

An impressive draw against Vipers at Kitende was followed by an disappointing stalemate against Maroons at home.

Mwebaze however remains optimistic that tomorrow’s visit to Blacks Power will provide th necessary goods.

“We respect them obviously, they are a premier league team on merit and any team here is good enough”

“They have lost two matches already but that does not mean we do not need to respect them”

“My team is ready and prepared to get us the necessary result”

Mwebaze told the club’s media .

The former Maroons and Onduparaka tactician will however have to engage Black Power without striker Sam Senyonjo who got injured in the previous match against Maroons.

Isa Bugembe and goal keeper Derrick Were have also not travelled with the team. Young defender Ivan Irinimbabazi HS been granted leave to prepare for his O’level UNEB exams.

Blacks Power expelled defender Mike Kawooya who was accused of spending too much time in the bar.

They however still have the dependable Mike Siwu and the experience of Dickens Okwi to count on.

This will be the first ever meeting between the sides.
