Aucho scores first goal for Yanga in win over Ihefu FC

Khalid Aucho was on the score sheet for Yanga SC in their 4-0 win over Ihefu FC in the Federation Cup game played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday night.

Aucho was on a receiving end of Djuma Shabani’s well delivered cross in the 45th minute.

His header was saved by the keeper before he slotted the ball into the net on the rebound.

This was his first goal since he joined the Tanzanian giants since he crossed over from Misr El Makkasa of Egypt.

Congolese striker Heritier Ebenezer Makambo scored a hat trick to ensure a comfortable victory for Yanga.

Yanga joined other top fight sides that progressed to the next stage of the Federation Cup. Others include Simba, Azam, KMC, Coastal Union, Namungo FC, Ruvu Shooting among others.

Ugandan midfielder Boban Zirintusa scored a hat trick as Mtibwa Sugar obliterated lower division side Tunduma United 7-1.

Yanga will now shift attention to the league where they will visit Tanzania Prisons on Sunday 19th December.

After eight games played, Yanga lead the Tanzanian league table with 20 points, two better than second placed Simba and four above Matia Lule’s Mbeya City.
