BIG LEAGUE: MYDA relegated after defeat to Luweero as Nyamityobora fails to travel

MYDA FC have officially become the second team to be relegated from the Big League this season.

Their relegation was confirmed by a 5-0 crushing defeat to fellow relegation strugglers Luweero United at the Kosovo Grounds in Luweero.

Arafat Sentongo was instrumental in Luweero United’s pulsating 5-0 victory over MYDA at Kosovo, as he netted a stunning hat-trick.

Allan Tebusweke and Mukwaya Reagan scored the other goals for Luweero.

MYDA have only managed 11 points from the 17 games they have played.

They will have to host Kitara before visiting Maroons and Calvary in their final three games.

Elsewhere at the Aki Bua Memorial in Lira, Blacks Power earned a walk over victory against Nyamityobora who failed to travel.

It should be noted that Nyamityobora were relegated about a fortnight ago after losing to Ndejje University at home.

The free three points automatically catapult Blacks Power to the top of the table on 34 points with three games to the league climax.

At Luzira, Maroons thumped Kitara FC 4-0 thanks to a brace from Solomon Walusimbi and a goal apiece by Abraham Tusubira and Fred Amaku.

Amaku scored his 11th goal of the campaign and now joint leads the chat with Kyetume’s Ezra Kizito Kaye.

In Mbale, Kataka edged Calvary 3-2 in a closely contested affair. Francis Odongo, Derrick Onyai and Hassan Wandenga scored for Kataka while Elias Paul Onyu and Julius Choka were on target for Calvary.

The other game played at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje between Ndejje University and Proline ended 0-0.

The FUFA Big League will resume on Sunday 10th April.
