NEC FC will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways against Kataka FC at Bugolobi Coffee grounds on the last day of the first round of the FUFA Big League.

NEC lost their last game to Kyetume 2-1 with their consolation goal coming late through their captain Marvin Kavuma.

Kataka FC won the previous game in Mbale 2-1 against debutants Lugazi FC thanks to Latif Ssenkubuge and David Zaake.

The hosts are third with 27 points, three behind leaders Kitara FC and two behind second placed Mbarara City.

Kataka FC occupy the sixth position with 20 points as they hope to close down the promotion places.

Micheal Skills Lukyamuzi’s charges stand a chance to replace Mbarara City in the second position, if Mbarara City suffer an unlikely defeat in Lira against Northern Gateway.

Kataka FC’s position can not change despite victory as they can only move to 23 points.
