BIG LEAGUE: Omedi continues scoring form as Booma edge Soroti City

The FUFA Big League match day four climaxed with Booma FC securing a 1-0 victory against Soroti City FC at Masindi grounds.

Denis Omedi’s 55th minute sole goal was enough to secure maximum points for the Fred Alinaitwe Kajambiya coached club.

Omedi is Booma’s top scorer with five goals, two behind the league’s overall leading scorer Patrick Henry Kaddu of Kitara FC.

Alinaitwe expressed his delight after sealing another victory and lauded the display from his charges.

” I am so happy with the boys’ display. It means a lot to us that a team that started the season with a defeat takes us to at least a better position.”

“Being our debut season, it comes with a lot of challenges but the players have soldiered on and played under instructions. On this very note that I assure you we are here to compete and making it to the top flight, you can never undermine our squad and each game is to handled as a cup final”.

“I’m so appreciative to everyone who has greatly supported this great club.”

Booma FC now sit 4th on the table with seven points and will visit Adjumani TC FC next Thursday

Soroti City stayed 15th with three points and will next host Jinja North United FC on the same day
