Proline were deprived of options in the striking department largely depended on offensive midfielders Noordin Bunjo, Kiwanuka, Musa Matovu and Alpha Thierry Ssali.

In fact, Proline had no recognized striker on the day and had only two players on the substitutes bench in Arnold Sserunjogi and Ibrahim Ssendi.

The second half resumption saw Kataka take the lead again through Nandala who perfectly headed from a well delivered free kick by Othur Swamad in the 48th minute.

Six minutes later, Kataka were reduced to 10 men after referee George Nkurunziza sent off Hassan Wadenga for an off ball offense on Richard Ajuna.

Mujuzi nearly equalized through the resultant free kick but his effort rattled the cross bar instead.

A minute later, Proline thought they had levelled matters again but Alpha Ssali’s strike was cancelled for offside.

Kataka put the game beyond reach when Othur Swamad set Mukisa who exquisitely struck from just out the box in the 66th minute.

Bunjo almost reduced the deficit in the final five minutes but his strike was also cancelled for offside.

Kataka coach Godfrey Toldo lauded his players for the victory and set focus on their next game.

” I thank my players for the victory. It is not easy to win with a man less but we won. We failed to win our first game so we had to plan for this one so as to get victory. Our focus is now on our next game.

Kataka are now fourth on the table with four points acquired from two games while Proline remain bottom placed with only a point after three games.

Kataka will host Maroons in their next game on Thursday 2nd December in Mbale. Proline will visit Luweero United in Kasana on the same day.
