Boxers should shine not administrators. UPBC President Salim Uhuru

Uganda Professional Boxing Commission President Salim Uhuru has revealed that it’s always great to see Boxers shinning than administrators.

Uhuru who attended the official induction of Olympians Shadir Musa and David Ssemujju Kavuma into professional boxing at the event that was held at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Tuesday.

“I am very proud of my young brothers who have decided to turn professional. This great for their careers, like I always say that It’s the boxers to shine not administrators.” I thank my brother Sembuya for starting up a promotion company and I am honoured to officially launch it after fulfilling the required requirements.”

Uhuru also stated that Professional Boxing and Amateur need each other for the development of the sport in the country

Amateur Boxing and Professional Boxing need each other for the development of the sport in the country. So we need to work hand in hand.” Said Uhuru

Meanwhile, Bwogi and Ssemujju will officially make their professional boxing debuts on 1st April at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
